SeaLegs x West of Camden

Everybody has a Covid story.  A lot of these stories you usually hear about have to do with tons of stress, hard times, and going out of business. However, I'm here to tell you a story about getting creative, and making it work. 

March 18th of 2020 we officially closed both of our locations and moved to an online only operation.  The next few months were obviously very difficult for business but thanks to some hard working people and some scaling back of a few regulations it became possible to have events in public open spaces in the summer.  In comes SeaLegs and our dear friend Alicia Cox ( https://www.instagram.com/aliciasealegs/?hl=en ).  She came up with the amazing idea to start comedy shows at her SeaLegs event space location, which was perfect for the social distancing rules of the time.  Check out this LA Times article all about SeaLegs and Comedy at the Beach ( https://www.latimes.com/socal/daily-pilot/news/story/2020-07-24/comedy-on-the-beach-provides-an-escape ). 

What does SeaLegs and comedy have to do with West of Camden?  Well, we teamed up with Alicia and created a merch store popup! Yes, we did several SeaLegs collabs, as well as Comedy at the Beach collabs.  We ran our West of Camden store right there on the sand all summer long, and thanks to the scuesses, we came back in 2021 and did it all over again. If it wasn't for these events and collabs West of Camden would not be here today.  It may not have been the best time, but it sure was a time and we are very thankful that we got to be a part of it.
